Everyone at Secret Camping Weekend HQ thinks sausages give outdoor camping a bad name. Don’t get us wrong, we love bangers and mash, the odd sausage sandwich and even the occasional sausage casserole if mother SCW is cooking.
However, a small tear rolls down our cheeks when we see a group’s entire menu is made up of nothing but sausages, more sausages and the occasional burger. So, we’re taking a stand to show the world how gourmet cooking can still apply when you’re in the great outdoors.
We’re bringing along an experienced outdoor chef and a host of different recipes to challenge our Secret Camping Weekenders to cook something a little tastier. We may even give out a few prizes to people we think could become the next SCW masterchef.
