The organisers at Secret Camping Weekend HQ live in London. It’s great but there’s nothing better than escaping city life for the weekend and getting out to somewhere remote and taking in some of the UK’s most beautiful destinations that are on our doorstep. We’re definitely guilty in the past of taking this amazing country for granted but with places like the Jurassic Coast so close, it quickly reminds us to look around once in a while and realise that microadventures are possible most weekends.
So, with that in mind we’re off on our first microadventure of the year – the Jurassic Coast on the last bank holiday weekend in May.
We’ve found a beautiful little tree-lined campsite which is only two hours away from London, fifteen minutes taxi from Bournemouth and Poole train stations, and only 30 minutes away from iconic Durdle Door beach on the Jurassic Coast. It’s the perfect base camp.
Once we’ve done what we do best (turn the campsite in to an experience-laden mecca) it will be the perfect base camp for anyone who wants a really fun long weekend break with a mix of partying and activity-based experiences.
If you’re not doing anything on the last bank holiday weekend in May, get yourself along and make the most of Dorset. We hope to see you there!
